Parks and gardens throughout Winnipeg provide the perfect interlude to busy city life, offering many recreational activities. Winnipeg's parks are known for their peaceful picnic areas, scenic nature conserves, summer festivals and sports facilities, which include outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, playing fields and even golf courses.

Winnipeg's parks are popular year round and are transformed during the cold, snowy winter months, when duck ponds become ice skating rinks and nearby hills turn into cross-country skiing slopes and toboggan runs.
